Anne Diamond and Jodrell Bank

Anne Diamond and Jodrell Bank

I was contacted recently by Anne Diamond, the journalist and broadcaster, about the possibility of her interviewing me and Teresa (the interview is linked below). What I hadn’t realised is she has a very personal connection to Jodrell Bank and to Bernard Lovell in particular.

Turns out her dad worked with Lovell on the development of radar during the second world war, first at Worth Matravers, Dorset, and then Malvern, Worcestershire. You can read more on her website Radar Families.

[By the way, I should correct Anne’s introduction and point out that I am not the Director of Jodrell Bank, that’s Mike Garrett. I’m an Associate Director.]
